It’s not all Rock n Roll & bikes that the crew get up to in their spare time.
Our very own Verity shows she can get down and dirty dressed as a cow whilst playing rugby.
Here she is with her team Peterborough Moo Moo’s after their recent win in the LV Ladies Cup.
All that ’round up’ practice seems to be paying off!

Had a good ride up to Ancaster on Monday 15th April to visit Woody’s Bike Night.
The great news is its now on twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Monday each month throughout the summer.
It’s a superb setting next to lakes, with plenty of food and drinks available and loads of free parking.
So make sure to give it a visit this summer.
I will definitely be back there soon.

Many thanks to the hardcore bikers that defied freezing cold and torrential rain to make the first Iron Horse Round Up ride to the Sand Racing at Mablethorpe on Sunday 17th March 2013. Such a special way to spend a spring time Sunday. I have my prayer mat out hoping for better weather for riding this year.

On Saturday 9th March we popped up to the Sycamore Harley Davidson Custom Show, thanks to all the staff we really enjoyed the sounds of Big 10
Haven’t seen a ska band for a couple of years, they were superb!

Here’s me eating my ‘Heat Attack’ Pancake Stack 4 American pancakes stacked high with; peanut butter, cherry pie filling, blueberries, squirty cream, butter and topped with maple syrup! 15 minutes of ‘pure pancake pleasure’ however I need to diet ready for next year.

The Iron Horse Ranch House Crew popped along to the Rutland HOG Chapters annual bowling session, all had a great time even if we didn’t win ![]()

Had a great time watching and meeting the Jive Aces on Saturday 26th January 2013, looking forward to seeing them at Iron Horse Ranch House SOON!

Another very busy weekend at Iron Horse Ranch House with parties and lots of families coming to see us. I did however manage to have another Rockin night with the folks at Lincoln Rock & Roll club.
The Hicksville Bombers were brilliant as ever, but the highlight of the night was when Lead singer Dave’s daughter joined them on stage for her first public performance.
She was stunning in every way and must have a bright future in Rock n Roll.
We look forward to bringing them down to Iron Horse Ranch House soon

Thanks to mick and Sharon from Milwaukee for their calendar. Will help me to organise more great transatlantic events this summer.
2012 Activities

On sunday after christmas Debbie and I to the family up to Mablethorpe in Lincolnshire to watch the Motorcycle Beach Racing on the sea front.
It was a brilliant day , with clear blue skies and not too cold.
We joined hundreds of spectators on the promanade and tucked into Fish & Chips, washed down with steaming mugs of tea, later followed by fresh doughnuts.
With some really exciting racing from beginers to expert classes and all for free! what more could you want to blow the Xmas cobwebs away?
I really must thank a couple of our Ranch House customers for recomending it to us. It was far better than I expected.
The whole family enjoyed a superb day out, even our dogs!
We will definatley be going back again before the racing season ends.

On Sunday 9th December I got up early in the freezing cold to attend this year Toy Run to Peterborough City Hospital Childrens Ward organised by Rutland HOG. After a few initial problems starting the bike I finally made it over to Sycamore Harley’s Davidson in Uppingham to meet up with the guys and girls. All I could see was a sea of bikes lining the streets and I knew it was worth getting up for. After a great ride yet again we made it to the hospital a the mountain of toys donated by all the riders plus work colleagues, customers from Iron Horse Ranch House and Bennets Insurance were wheeled into the hospital. Sadly due to the weather the children couldn’t come out to the bikes but you could see the sea of smiles from the windows as the looked on. The nurses couldnt believe their eyes, as we warmed up there was a feel of goodwill in the air. After more problems with the bike I decided to drop it off home before going back to Iron Horse Ranch House to served all the riders their Boston Beans and Jacket Potato’s. As usual the feedback was great and my staff did a great job. All in all it was a great day and the perfect way to start the festive season.

Attended Mean Valley Roller Derby’s Bout Before Christmas for the first time since our partnership started. It certaintly lived up to the hype once I understood what was going on. I look forward to attending more next year and developing our partnership further.

Just got home from watching Ain’t Misbehavin at Mama Liz’s Voodoo Lounge in Stamford
Best chillin Sunday afternoon I have had in years
Many thanks Nigel n Jools
See you on the 24 th November at Iron Horse Ranch House

fantastic end to Harley’s Diner and a super start to the NEW Iron Horse Ranch House. Thank you everyone for your support.

Had a great day out with the Family yesterday for october half term, as you may have guessed Bike Museum was my favorite, kids reckoned I looked at at home with all the other relics!
Any how I was chuffed to find a fine example of the Triumph Trident, Debbie and
I had when we first got married 32 years ago. That and a Norton Dominator got sold for about £900 to raise some cash for our first house.
The things you do for love!
Riding around on a Suzuki GT 250 after those two classic British bikes was a bit of a shame, but even that would be vintage now.
Funny how your old bikes bring back fond memories, we were young, had our first house and used spend all our spare cash on booze, rock concerts, playing various sports and travelling.
Nobody told me 3 kids would soon put an end to all that!

Another Great Sunday (28th October 2012) at Harleys Diner!
We had the Rutland and Lindum Colonia Chapters drop by to celebrate 4 years of growing success for Harleys Diner.
It makes me proud of every thing we have achieved together over that short time and the
wonderful friends we have made on the way. Rutland has made us their second home after Sycamores many thanks Guys and Gals.
It was a paticular pleasure to welcome our Lincolnshire friends today, as they were the very first HOG Chapter to visit us and now they are the very last one to visit us as Harleys Diner.
Many thanks to Dave and the club for coming down on such a cold and wet winters day, thanks for all your support for Harleys Diner over the years and encouragement for what we are planning for our new Iron Horse Ranch House venture.
Hope to see you all again soon

Stoped by at Grantham Rock and Roll club the other evening to watch the Del Rio Ramblers from Manchester.
What a brilliant afternoon!
A superb band, a really friendly club who know how to enjoy themselves.
Many thanks to Steve and Jim for your hard work, you sure make it worth the drive up to Grantham, to see great bands and chill out.
I will be back soon
